While the LJP(R) has been allotted 29 seats, many of the constituencies personally preferred by Chirag Paswan have reportedly gone to alliance partners JD(U) and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM). Further complicating matters, Upendra Kushwaha has also laid claim to one of the seats that LJP(R) was eyeing.

As a result, Chirag Paswan may have to give up around 10 of his favored constituencies, creating dissatisfaction within his party ranks. These developments have raised fresh questions about the NDA’s internal cohesion, with political observers speculating that such disagreements could lead to “friendly fights” — situations where alliance partners end up contesting against each other in some constituencies.
